Portable Vaporizers are handy modern tools that can provide cleaner smoke that is burned at much higher temperatures than traditional pipes and water pieces can offer. They are very popular for their ease of use, their portability, and the many variations they come in. Vaporizers can be found in the form of a pen, a desktop box, and even traditional box mod vaporizers can now be used with CBD and THC oils.

All vaporizers are designed to provide heat to a chamber that contains either dry herb or a form of purified, concentrated cannabis. These concentrated products contain very high levels of THC and other cannabinoids and require burning at a higher temperature in order to achieve the entirety of the effects. As with most vaporizers, the ideal temperature boils down to your personal preferences. Some users like to rip for longer periods of time for massive hits while other like a slow simmer and more crisp taste. When you vape wax pens for longer and hotter, it not only burns more wax but also activates more of the terpenes and cannabinoids. This results in a more potent and thick cloud of smoke that will provide much stronger effects than lower temperature rips. When burned more slowly, a lot of the active chemicals are still burned but more of the aroma and flavors are able to come out and are not burned to a crisp.

According to research, the optimal temperature to burn THC and CBD oils is 455* F. This results in maximum release of the active ingredients in these chemicals and provides the most consistently potent hits. If you vaporize cannabis below 180°C (356°F), you will mainly inhale terpenes because the active cannabinoids won’t fully evaporate at low temperatures. Lower temperatures can be ideal for those who want a less intense and more mellow high, as you will not experience the bodily effects as heavily. Multiple studies have shown that higher temperatures tend to yield more cannabinoid extraction.

Using a box mod to burn oils is a great way to get big hits and have complete control over the temperature and feel of your hits. Box mods are fun to use and widely popular due to their customization ability and full temperature control options. The quality of hit from THC and CBD oils with a box mod is completely dependent on the atomizer attached and its associated functionality and power. Box mods are the most customizable type of vaporizer, and they can come in a variety of different voltages as well.
